Insulated vinyl siding
Vinyl siding with rigid foam laminated to the back, adding some insulation and stiffness versus hollow-back panels.
What it means for you
The foam adds roughly R-2 to R-3.5 (premium panels to about R-5), trims thermal bridging through the studs, and makes the wall look straighter and take impacts better. It costs more than hollow-back — commonly a few dollars a square foot — so weigh it as a comfort-and-durability upgrade, not a fast energy payback.
Where you'll see it
An upgrade line above standard hollow-back vinyl.
Also sold as: foam-backed vinyl
